Private Photography Workshop

There are already identified the five (5) critical steps you need to focus on to become a good and better photographer. What are those five (5) steps?

  • The level of research that should be considered before embarking on any wildlife photo shoot. – We will spend time before we meet to discuss the kind of research that goes into a trip that we are about to take. – Gear, clothing, accessories, location, and subjects.

  • Pre-visualization techniques to help capture the photos you want. – I will work with you on how to pre-visualize the images you want to take on our workshop. We will translate that pre-visualization into actual photos in the field.

  • Making the right critical decisions in the moment of the action. – Your photos are more important than mine. I will be your cheerleader and coach to help you make the right decisions in the moment.

  • The editing techniques to make your images come to life. – We will spend time post–processing our images. We will begin to bring your pre-visualized images to life.

  • Learning from the common mistakes of shooting. – While we are reviewing our images we will spend time identifying teachable moments to help you learn from common photography mistakes.

By the time we are done our trip and session, I will have you outthinking everyone that happens to stand next to you in the future :)

Where can we arrange and conduct the workshops ?

My private workshops working based in Southern Finland (Uusimaa regions). I would suggest that we stick to locations and subject matter where I can offer you the most help as I have been working in these locations multiple times. This will maximize our time together and allow me to have more time focused on your photography rather than logistics. The following is a list of locations and species where I believe you will receive the best experience. The exact location will be determined based on current wildlife activity, and the season.

What gear do you need to have for workshops ?

Basically you could take whatever you gear you have in hand, By doing that I could also lead you into the right settings,etc.

As It’s hard to decides and tells on which or what shooting gear you should have during the workshop, anyhow by most of the times I will sort you out with most of gears you have and it based on what we need as well. Especially if you decide to take Non-wildlife class as landscape or creative macro we might need to discuss beforehand.

For Wildlife photo workshop would it be more beneficial to have a starting lens with a focal length of at least from 70-200mm - 300mm. In additional case I will help and provide you just IF you need any extra necessary gear too, please don’t be hesitated to ask and contact me before the workshop.

What is the price of private workshops ?

The price for a private workshop can vary greatly depending on the location and species that you want to photograph. It is best to engage with us in a conversation so we can create the best trip to meet the needs of you and your small group.

The price we develop will include several factors (incl 24% VAT) based on :

  • A hourly or weekly rate for my time and experience.

  • Ground-based costs for transportation, lodging, food, and access fees. – I will sit down with you and give you various options to fit into your budget.

Don’t be hesitate and shy to talking to me as you might thing this “PRIVATE” equals expensive. It’s really not the case for a couple of reasons.

  • We have preferred rates with the partners I use. The rates we get for rentals, tours, and accommodation are far less than you would pay.

  • We schedule my private trips around my group workshops. That allows for beneficial cost-sharing with my transportation costs to get to locations.

  • My day rate for private trips is not as high as they are for group trips. You will be surprised how inexpensive these trips can be.

In case if there’s no time left at the same day we could also arrange it online sessions via ZOOM or Skype meetings, I am the one will guiding you through the process of editing and refining your photos to achieve stunning results.
